Annai Saw mill was established in the year 1984, having its Corporate office at Coimbatore. The Firm is headed by Mr. Michael Thiraviam who is having around 40 years of experience in the timber, timber trading and saw mill operations. Our main activity was to procure timber from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and import timber from over seas and cut them into sizes and supply to all over Tamilnadu and other parts of India. We supply all types of teak woods like Burma teak, Indian teak, Nillambur Teak(Malabar Teak), Nigiria teak and Gahana teak. We also supply Malaysian Sal, Indian Sal, Padauk(Red, White), Neem and Jungle woods. We are specialized in supply of Coconut wood, Silver Oak, Palm trees. In order to study about the global market and to market our products like sawn timber, mouldings, furniture components etc. we have been participating in various trade fairs (both national and international). In India we have been focusing and catering to the needs of whole sale and retail traders. In order to increase our market share in retail segment, we are reaching now directly to all well established Companies / Builders / Contractors to supply our good quality timber and timber Products. Since the cost of processing and manufacturing is low with us, we shall able to offer very competitive prices for our Timber and Timber Products
Coconut Planks Supplier
Coconut wood comes exclusively from coconut plantations, from mature coconut trees. At 50-80 years of age the coconut palm becomes senile (stops producing coconuts in commercially viable quantities) or has become too tall for the farmers to safely harvest. Either way, it would be cut down to make way for new saplings. We use these “waste” palm trees to produce our beautiful, high quality flooring. This reduces the need to harvest wood from the forest, and provides a “second use” for these plantation-grown trees. In addition, since we mill our planks straight from the tree trunk, there is no gluing or “processing” of the planks. This not only eliminates dangerous chemical usage and the potential for off-gassing, it also doesn’t require the energy that would be needed to manufacture and bond an engineered plank together.
